We are now looking for engaged and responsible stevedores for Uddevalla Port Terminal. As a stevedore, you can expect a varied and stimulating job involving various types of handling of the port's cargo as well as other common tasks within the port area.

About the Company

Uddevalla Port Terminal is a port and logistics company that, among other things, loads and unloads ships, transships between modes of transport, and stores cargo. The company is wholly owned by the municipality, has an annual turnover of approx. 180 million SEK, and has an average of approx. 85 full-time employees.

Job Responsibilities

A large part of your tasks in this role will consist of loading and unloading cargo to or from ships, trains, or trucks. As a machine operator, you can drive, for example, forklifts, wheel loaders, terminal tractors, or cranes, depending on your qualifications. The company also conducts internal training for all types of machine operation. The tasks are broad and may vary from day to day. You will work closely with colleagues and supervisors.

Qualifications

You have completed upper secondary education with passing grades in Swedish, English, and Mathematics. A Category B driver's license is required.

It is an advantage if you have a forklift license, a Category C driver's license, or crane experience. Previous experience working in terminal and port operations is also advantageous, as well as training and experience in driving and handling various types of terminal vehicles. The work requires good physical fitness.

The Position

The employment is permanent. A probationary period may apply. Working hours are weekdays from 07:00 to 16:00, but overtime work occurs. A collective agreement exists with the Swedish Transport Workers' Union. Salary and terms are in accordance with the Port and Stevedoring Agreement. The workplace is located at Bastiongatan 5, Uddevalla.
